This is the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office with an update on evacuations. Fire officials have lifted the mandatory evacuations for the Wild Wing Drive fire. All residents may return home. We ask that you use caution going back into the area, as firefighters and equipment are still on scene.

This is the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office with an emergency message. We are working a fire on Wild Wing Drive, off of County Road 12 and County Road 29. Fire officials have ordered mandatory evacuations for Wild Wing Drive area. The west boundary is County Road 29, east boundary is Homer Road, south boundary is County Road 12, and the north boundary is approximately 1 mile north of County Road 12. Residents should EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY and may respond to the Berthoud Community Center at 248 Welch Ave in Berthoud.

roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.

southeast portion of the Cameron Peak burn area, Pennock Pass,

NWS has issued a Flash Flood Warning for West Central Larimer county until 5:45 PM MDT. Thunderstorms producing rain up to 1 inch in 1 hour is possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Areas include Kinikinik, Chambers Lake and Rustic. Additional locations include Sky Ranch, Gulches along Highway 14 near and above Rustic, Rising
water and large debris in the Poudre River, Crown Point Road, The Upper Poudre Canyon, The Laramie River Road near Chambers Lake, Long Draw Road, Remote areas in the Cameron Peak Wilderness and Hague Creek.

The National Weather Service has indicated there is an Elevated Flood Threat Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day in the Cameron Peak Burn Scar. Sunday has the greatest risk for storms capable of producing an inch of rain in 30 minutes or less. Please be advised that Ramona Drive is closed for fire tankers to drop water. If you access your property off of Ramona Drive, you will need to enter the area on foot.
