Larimer County Flood – Flash Flood information

This is the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office with an emergency message. Larimer County field units are monitoring the flooding issues along the Buckhorn Road and County Road 27 area. They have advised that water is rising and have asked that all residents receiving this message: east of Pennock Pass along County Road 44H (Buckhorn Road) down to County Road 27 (Stove Prairie Road) and south along County Road 27 to the Masonville/Bobcat Ridge area, pay close attention to the weather conditions and rising water. The areas of concern also include Moody Hill, Crystal Mountain, Moondance Way, Stringtown Gulch and Big Bear. Please be prepared to either leave the area or climb to higher ground if conditions worsen. When driving in these conditions, avoid areas subject to flooding including dips, low spots, ditches, etc. and do not attempt to cross flowing streams or creeks. If driving, be aware that the road may not be intact under flood waters. Never drive through flooded roadways – turn around and go another way. If your vehicle stalls, leave it immediately and seek higher ground.
