The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Flash Flood Warning for The Cameron Peak burn scar in Southeastern Larimer County in north central Colorado until 1145 PM MDT.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar may result in debris flow moving through the Upper Buckhorn and Lower Buckhorn Creek drainage. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Cameron Peak Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include: Cedar Cove, Drake and Masonville. This includes the following additional locations: Moondance Way, Stringtown Gulch, Big Bear, The Retreat and Storm Mountain. Move to higher ground now.
